Filed on June 24, 2024, in Cook County, Illinois, Kevin C. O’Malley initiated a petition for the dissolution of his marriage to Christina Potter. Kevin, aged 49, a resident of Cook County, and employed, was married to Christina, aged 55, also employed, since May 16, 2015, with their wedding held in Puerto Rico. The couple shares two adult children, Kevin Jr. and Matthew, born on August 30, 2002.

Citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, Kevin’s petition states that attempts to reconcile since their separation in 2015 have failed, rendering future efforts impractical. He asserts ownership of certain non-marital property and seeks an equitable division of marital assets and debts accumulated during their marriage, which include real estate, vehicles, and retirement and bank accounts. Kevin also requests that Christina, formerly known as Potter, resume her maiden name if she chooses.

Kevin’s attorney, Linda Epstein of The Law Office of Linda Epstein, filed the petition on his behalf, seeking the court’s approval to dissolve the marriage, allocate property, and dismiss any maintenance claims between the parties.
