Andrea C. Bilyeu has filed for dissolution of marriage from Halleck Bilyeu in the 16th Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, citing the irretrievable breakdown of their marriage. The couple, married since May 25, 1991, in Kingsville, Missouri, separated in March 2023 after 32 years together. Attorney Phillip J. Glorioso of Buccero and VanFleet, LLC represents the petitioner.
Andrea asserts that their marriage cannot be preserved and requests the court to dissolve their union. Both parties have accumulated marital property and debts, which they are expected to divide equitably, either through a property settlement agreement or as ordered by the court. Andrea is not seeking maintenance for herself, as she is capable of self-support, but acknowledges Halleck’s need for modifiable maintenance due to his role in homeschooling their children during the marriage.
The petition further requests that each party bears their own legal fees unless the respondent engages in activities that extend the litigation or cause unreasonable expenses for the petitioner. Additionally, Andrea seeks that their separate non-marital property be appropriately set aside to each individual. All children from the marriage are emancipated, and Andrea is not pregnant. The case was filed on September 18, 2024, in Jackson County, Missouri.
