After nearly a decade marked by separation just months into the union, Brittany Luedeman filed a petition in Jackson County Circuit Court in May 2025 to dissolve her marriage to Nathan Luedeman. The couple, married on March 6, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, began living apart as early as October of that same year, with a final separation date of April 20, 2025. Attorney M. Andrew Roffmann of The Roffmann Law Office, LLC, represents the petitioner.
In her petition, Brittany asserts that the marriage is irretrievably broken and beyond preservation. She affirms that neither she nor the respondent is pregnant, underage, or an active-duty member of the armed forces. Both parties are employed and self-supporting—Brittany with Fresenius Medical Care, and Nathan with ConAgra—and neither seeks maintenance from the other.
They share one minor child, for whom Brittany seeks joint legal and joint physical custody, with her Independence address to serve as the child’s residence for educational and mailing purposes. She attests that no other custody litigation is pending and confirms Missouri’s jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.
Brittany further asks the Court to equitably divide marital and separate property and debts, to apply Missouri’s child support guidelines per Rule 88.01, and to require each party to cover their own attorney’s fees. She concludes by requesting any other relief the Court finds just and proper.
